Tools for skiving and workpiece clamping!
Modern skiving enables the production of external and internal gears with straight or helical teeth. The process is highly productive, but only when the machine, the tool and the workpiece are perfectly matched to each other. Skiving is the economical alternative to manufacturing processes such as gear shaping and broaching. Diaphragm chucks of EMUGE have been used for many years for high-precision clamping of workpieces during machining.
In addition to workpiece clamping the tool holder and skiving tool are also supplied from a single source. Each FRANKEN skiving tool is individually designed to meet customer requirements. FRANKEN also provides the customer with cutting strategies and cutting data which are optimally matched to the specific application scenario.
Skiving tools are manufactured on state-of-the-art CNC tool grinding machines. Each skiving tool is supplied with a measurement report and the application engineering department of FRANKEN provides support in the use of these tools. The skiving wheels are available for internal and external gearing as bell-type or shank tools in module sizes m0.4 to m5. In addition, FRANKEN also offers the repair of the tools.
